Anet doesn't care for Dutch/Belgian Players?
Well this might be "another whine topic.
But still, i want to make clear of this.
Every event is based on American times, europe player will miss 8 hours of every event, with the release of Eye of the North, we in europa could play at 9.00 AM, when we where at school/work, the American player could start at 0.00AM.
Then not forgot the dutch players, we wanted to get a Dutch "server", Anet said NO!
Then the ingame store, we asked for other payments, Anet said again NO
Then its almost 31 oktober, and the Dutch and Belgian players just have bad luck, because Anet doesnt support them.
Everytime we asked for something, other country's will get it, except the "Benelux" (its Luxemborg, Belgian and the Netherlands).
So even if Anet it isnt that way, but they let us feel it this way, everything we asked, we dont get, and anyother country will get it!
I've tried everything to get the Bonus Mission Pack, ive contacted Support, they never responded.
Why did only the UK and Germany get the SMS function? Why didnt Anet tested in the Netherlands?
These are questions that will stuck in you'r head, and that Anet isnt that Customer Friendly for some Country's

Times are based on ... Anet time .. aka where they are based is zero hour. Perhaps with a tax incentive you can get them to relocate to Europe and change the zero hour to your favor.

Well i dont care about the events time, but i care that Anet should care about us, and not throw us somewhere, where they dont look.

Replace the word Europe with Holland and Belgium? I agree seems strange that theres no Dutch server but about the in game store they can't afford to accommodate so many methods of payment.

They can add Paypal, so everyone in the complete world can pay in the ingame store, paypal is free for everyone!
And its even useable for Dutch people, but about 90% of the dutch people cant get the bonus mission thing, because Anet would never get a useable payment for dutch people, and i think that then 70% would quit GuildWars, because they think just like me, Anet dont care about us!

I've been saying for ages that there should be more different language servers..... but for the longest while there were only 5 .... and I barely ever saw anyone on the Spanish and Italian servers (which leaves me wondering why they even existed)... yet no Dutch or Polish, despite a large number of the aforementioned people.
I'm sure now there are more servers for more languages, but since the means of access has been changed, I haven't been able to check which languages exist and which don't now.... and you're saying there STILL isn't a Dutch server?
I can understand why Belgium wouldn't need its own since it basically shares the languages of France and the Netherlands.... but the latter certainly DOES have its own language, and as such should have its own server.
As for the shop and events and whatnot.... well... I just don't know there.
A-Net don't want to use paypal, so they don't use paypal. But then if you don't have a Maestro / Bank-card you can use to pay, then that is more an issue to bring up with your bank than with A-Net. And if you're not old enough to have one of those cards then why are you even playing the game?

I really don't see why you should get those privileges.
Anet doesn't have to provide extra servers for "Benelux" players, options for whatever currency "Benelux" players use, extra timetables for events for "Benelux" players and SMS function for "Benelux" players.
What makes "Benelux" players stand out from players in the 200(or whatever) countries in the rest of the world? And how can you justify that Anet doesn't care for European players when you are refering to but 3 countries? If Anet were to listen to everything everyone said, nothing would get done.
I live in New Zealand, which means that everything is out of wack, but you know I cope with it, the timetable for events allows me to get in at least once and I am +12gmt.

Uhm because almost every other country have "Special" payments
Like Ausies have uhm ... (forgot that card)
Uk have debit cards (everyone under the 18 can get one, if im correct)
US have Visa Gift Cards
etc
So yeah, then the title should be New Zealand and Europe ...
But Anet should care about Customers, and not leave them in the cold snow, like they do now!

ok so every european country should have their own district? 46 different districts for every town seems kind of dumb :P yeah you didn't say that i know, but why should netherlands have their on district when most other countries do not?
i agree that more payment options in the in game store would be nice. why only UK and germany got the sms option most likely have to do with legal/technical difficulties we mortals have no clue of.
edit: how come you can't buy things in the in game store anyway? doesn't your countries have visa cards? o_O
edit2: about the time zone things. all events go until around 8/9 in the morning on monday's here in europe too. and they start around 9 in the evening on friday's. everyone around the world get access at the exact same time, not fair enough? you also have the option to stay up all night if you only wish to play the start of the event, or go to sleep like everyone else and play the next day when the americans are sleeping...

Hmmm... seeing as most events do seem to start at midnight PST / PDT, it means that on average Europe gets them at 8 or 9am , what's unfair about that? If a retail shop doesn't open will 9am is it unfair to the people who might have wanted to go out at 3am and do some shopping?
You're going to miss an average of eight hours a day on any event while you're asleep anyway, so what's the big deal?
It's a global game, and if they catered to every single time zone individually I'd feel sorry for the programmers and bug fixers who (I'd expect) would have to hover around the office waiting to see if they have to put a new build together for any issue that might crop up. They deserve some sleep too.

I thought events started at noon GW-time...
I've had things start at 8pm here in London before... and generally END at 8am on the Monday Morning.
I have no issue with that.
But I've never heard of events starting at 8am... o_0;

You know when you're just browsing and you hover your mouse over the Riverside section and see the latest thread "Anet doesn't care for Europe Players?" and you think "Wow, what a moron."
Yeah.
Oh yeah, OT: There isn't any bias as to who ANet cares for more...

ok well i'm not sure how the bank system works there but here in sweden i get a bank card (not credit card) it is a visa card and i can pay with it in any store i want, the cost of the item i'm buying is taken from my bank account right away. it's not a credit card but a payment card(?) or whatever you wanna call it hehe. costs maybe €20 per year. it's also the same card i use to get cash from an ATM. maybe your bank have something similar that would work?

Well,
Anet has to support their events with employees that watch for bug reports etc.
so current times do make sense to me ... and honestly, the event is the whole weekend! who cares about 9, 12, 24 hours lost???
I know there are a lot of dutch ppl. out there but i doubt that there are enough to support active outposts ... look at france, spanish, polish outpost ... I am speaking dutch and it is fine with me the way it is.
Concerning payment methods ... yeah why not ... but you can be sure that they do have an active interest in supporting you to spend money on their products in the best possible way ...
Now, on topic:

Pretty sure I've seen some start at 8am, I remember logging on, but hey ho whatever. I still don't see what the problem is. Unless the OP doesn't need sleep they're going to miss 6 or 8 hours of any event, whether they're at school or work.
